Anchor Inn - Oake

The breakfast was satisfactory and the English bar was a plus.

Gorgeous breakfast with a good choice of milk, croissants and cereal. Location next to the anchor inn as well as a charming pub with great beer.

Quiet hotel, had a really great service. In overall the room was great-sized and well heated and with hairdryer as well as DIY breakfast. Milk, croissants and cereal provided for breakfast was excellent! Its location in Oake was exceptionally nice, right by the anchor inn, the pub and Public Transport.

A hidden gem!

Had a super chill 2 nights. The steak here? OMG, way better than any fancy place in St Louis! Laura and the staff were so nice and really helped with my health stuff. My room was comfy and super quiet, perfect for sleep. Just wish the bar had more drink options.

central inn near good parks and landmarks for weekend strolls

I enjoyed a restful stay with helpful staff and delicious food, making it easy to explore nearby attractions like the picturesque French Weir Park, just under 6 km away, and the fascinating Museum of Somerset, also less than 7 km from the inn.

The Anchor Inn offers a tranquil setting with comfortable beds, awesome for a restful night's sleep. The restaurant served excellent food, including the best steak I've ever had, and the staff were attentive and helpful. The room was well-maintained, with all necessary amenities.

Better transportation options would be helpful for seniors.

The stay was incredibly enjoyable, especially after long days exploring the nearby attractions. The food was exceptional, particularly the steak, which was on par with some of the best I've had. I also appreciated the comfortable bed that ensured a restful sleep. Just a note, if you're relying on public transport, it might be wise to have a car, as local transportation can be a challenge.

Had a nice 2-night stay where I really enjoyed the cozy breakfast brought to my room and the lovely sun terrace for lounging. The peaceful garden area was perfect after a long day of exploring. The room felt a bit dated and needed some TLC, but overall, it was a great experience! 🌼

Tranquil Setting with Really good Dining Experience

The innovative breakfast service delivered freshly baked croissants right to my room. The dining experience was excellent, particularly the delicious roast lunch that surpassed my expectations. The shower pressure could use some improvement.

I had such a lovely stay, especially enjoying the perfect nut roast on Sunday and the comfy beds that guaranteed a peaceful night's sleep. Would definitely go back!

We enjoyed a spacious family room with a good stoney garden. The comfortable beds ensured we had restful nights throughout our visit.

Some amenities could use an update.

Just a good match for a walk in the evening in Oake with extraordinarily good value for money. The local ale was wonderful and really added to the experience. Consider having a car for easier travel to local sights.
